Chef Sarah has earned numerous awards during her career as a chef, being named a “Rising Star Chef” by Chicago Social magazine in 2009 and 2016 and Eater Chicago’s “Chef of the Year” in the 2011 Eater Awards. In 2017, she was named “Best Chef: Great Lakes” by the James Beard Awards, and she has since competed on Bravo’s “Top Chef: Texas” and Food Network’s “Iron Chef Gauntlet.”

  • 500 g. Monteverde Gnocchetti Pasta Bring home Monteverde’s housemade and dried shell-shaped pasta! This is the shape made famous in their Gnocchetti con Pesto. This is perfect to pair with pomodoro or pesto sauces.

  • 250 ml. Agro di Mosto Balsamic VinegarThis vinegar is brought to us by Monteverde in collaboration with Acetaia San Giacomo. Acetaia San Giacomo is owned by their great friend Andrea Bezzecchi. He’s traveled all over Italy with Chef Sarah, and has the distinct honor of being one of only 12 people in the world who taste Parmigiano-Reggiano to assure its quality for the Italian government. Made from the same cooked grape that must be used to make traditional balsamic but aged 2-3 years for a lighter, brighter and sweeter version.

  • 8.8 oz. Italian Chestnut Honey These fantastic honeys are brought to us by Monteverde. They source it from Andrea Paternoster of Mieli Thun. Andrea, a nomadic beekeeper, moves his hives throughout Italy in search of the most perfectly blooming flowers. 

  • Listen To Your Vegetables: This is a cookbook from Michelin Star and James Beard Foundation Award–winning chef/owner of Monteverde Restaurant in Chicago, Sarah Grueneberg. It's a vegetable-focused cookbook of more than 180 Italian-inspired recipes.
