The influences for El Che Chicago seasonings go all the way back to Chef John Manion’s origins in Sao Paulo Brazil. There, a young John and his family spent 5 years soaking up the fun, food, and flavors of the area. After attending culinary school at Chicago’s own Kendall College, he was inspired to open up his own restaurant, recalling the Brazilian beachside joints of his childhood. In 2016, this evolved into El Che Steakhouse and Bar, an immersive live-flame cooking experience inspired by the flavors of South America.

When you try El Che’s BBQ seasoning salts for the first time, you’ll be transported to a faraway place, full of passionate South American flavors that make for spirited and sultry dishes.
