Soul Fusion's Fish Fry Mix was born out of a great idea and a need to feed the community! Founder and Chef, Yusef El-Amin, was a frozen fish distributor and one day the freezer broke which gave him the options to throw it out or feed the community. This is how the legendary "Friday Fish Fry" was born and later he opened a restaurant with his siblings.
You can now have your own fish fry in your home with the same flavors from that restaurant. This fish fry makes your meals perfectly seasoned and crispy and it can also be used on any seafood, chicken, tofu, and vegetables!

Tajah and Rakhya, Soul Fusion by Chef El-Amin
It all started in 1986 when Chef Yusef El-Amin was working as a frozen food distributor. One day, his freezer filled with frozen fish conked out. He realized he could throw it out – or cook it up and feed people in the community.
With the help of his wife and siblings, Chef chose to feed the community which led him to starting a business in his basement, organizing the popular “Friday Fish Fry”, and then opening a popular soul food restaurant named Chef El-Amin in New Rochelle NY. It was truly a family affair!
Recognizing the lack of accessible soul food that is healthier, the Chef’s daughters Tajah and Rakhya, “remixed” their Dad’s traditional soul food recipes to create a line of fresh, frozen, and shelf-stable items called Soul Fusion by Chef El-Amin.
The line includes Plant Based, Halal, and Vegetarian southern comforts made with lower salt and sugar content for families and professionals like YOU, who are often too busy to cook.
