Kalpana Kethineedi, Kay's Curries
Kalpana is the founder and owner of Kay's Curries. Originally, from India, she grew up in a middle-class family and watched her mother cook delicious and healthy meals.
When she moved to the US, the best way she experienced the comfort of her home was by recreating those meals. But cooking Indian food takes time and effort. With busy schedules and no time to cook, she looked for alternatives from pre-packaged meals, take-out, and frozen meals, which were not sustainable or healthy.
Kay's Curries was born out of a need Kalpana had inspired by the dry American soup mixes. Just add water and cook! The meals are all natural with no preservatives and cater to most dietary restrictions - vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, nut-free, and sesame-free.
