Dave and Dan, The Spice House

The Spice House was founded in 1957 by Bill Sr. and Ruth Ann Penzey in Milwaukee, WI, with the aspiration to become a global distributor of the world's finest spices. Their daughter, Patty, originally grew up working alongside her parents in the business, spending her time in the store before acquiring The Spice House with her husband, Tom. While Patty and Tom added their own creative flair and modern take to the company, they soon met Dave Grossman and Dan Yates, successful professionals who shared their love of food, passion for culture, and entrepreneurial spirit, who would then go on to become their business partners. Today, The Spice House is owned by Dan and Dave, who strive to honor the same values and traditions the Penzeys originally established while continuing to maintain a product assortment of the highest quality and freshest spices in the industry.

This fiery salt is named for Vulcan, the Roman god of fire. Vulcan's Fire Salt owes its spicy, deep flavor to a secret ingredient discovered by The Spice House's founder many decades ago. Add this all-purpose blend right next to your traditional salt and pepper on the kitchen table. We recommend sprinkling it on popcorn, garlic bread, scrambled eggs, or in place of hot sauce.
