Swelter Coffee Roasters offers exceptional coffees sourced from women producers, working to promote a more equitable and sustainable coffee industry. Women are a cornerstone of coffee production globally, driving the industry’s growth. Still, women are frequently excluded from benefits in their communities, like fair pay, education, land ownership, decision-making roles, for a few examples. Swelter Coffee Roasters offers high-quality coffees full of authentic stories and a connection to the women behind them. Founder Stephanie fell in love with coffee while roasting in her kitchen as a hobby. After becoming a mother, she felt a renewed passion for making a positive impact and embarked on a mission to build a sustainable coffee business that supports the women who are otherwise invisible in the industry.

Rwandan Coffee is renowned for its distinct flavor profiles and exceptional quality. The beans are hand-picked and processed using the 'washed process' method, ensuring a clean, smooth cup. This dedication to quality is evident in every brew, delivering a rich and smooth taste with notes of bright acidity, floral undertones, and hints of citrus.

The empowered women of the expansive Kopakama Cooperative have united to enhance the quality of their coffee and contribute to the prosperity of their community. The term "Ejo Heza," translating to "bright tomorrow," encapsulates their vision. Since initiating cultivation on their own lands in 2011, they have demonstrated remarkable proficiency in crafting high-quality coffees, securing a premium price through direct sales to buyers.

A percentage of the sales proceeds is directly allocated to a local bank account owned by these women. Annually, during their assembly, members cast votes to decide how these funds will be utilized, ensuring sustainable community development.

This blend can be enjoyed with any brewing method.
