Alex Matos has been an Omakase sushi chef for over a decade. During his time as a chef, he has perfected a variation of sauce recipes that complement each unique piece of sushi. He was very fortunate to be mentored by the likes of chefs Tsunoda, Fukumoto, Yang, and Ujiie in New York. Using the knowledge that was passed down to him, he aims to provide joy to all those who dine with him.
Christina Wu is a former Creative Producer, working across the fashion and beauty industries. Australian native, Christina moved to New York in 2018 to pursue a more challenging environment and propel her career. After 5 years of working in the corporate world, Christina decided to end her time with the industry and collaborate with her partner on building Kemushi in November of 2023, sharing what she believes to be a “game-changer” for the sauce category. Their vision is to bring restaurant grade flavors in more accessible, affordable and easy forms of consumption - empowering those who want to embark on a sushi making adventure but have always been too intimidated to prepare it themselves. Kemushi ensures restaurant flavors are no longer inaccessible and can be enjoyed in any kitchen without the price tag.
