Ingredients
-
1 tsp Spicy Pizza Topping
One 1⁄4 Oz. Package Active Dry Yeast
1 1⁄4 Cups Warm Water (105°F - 115°F)
1 tsp Sugar
-
1 tsp Sea Salt
-
4 Cups Flour
-
2 Tbs Olive Oil
-
1 1⁄4 Cups Pizza Sauce
8 Oz. Ham, Chopped
8 Oz. Mozzarella Cheese, Shredded
Directions
Sprinkle the yeast over the warm water in a medium
bowl; stir until the yeast is dissolved. Add the sugar
and salt; mix well.
Place the flour in a large bowl. Add the yeast mixture and knead the dough with your hands until the
ingredients are well blended. Add the oil and continue to knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic.
(The dough should not stick to your hands nor stick to the side of the bowl.)
Transfer the dough to a lightly floured work surface, then knead the dough for 3 additional minutes.
Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl. Cover with plastic wrap, then let the dough rise in a warm
place for approx. 1 hour or until the dough is doubled in volume.
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to a 1⁄4-inch thickness.
Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, stopping about 1 inch from one of the long sides of the
dough.
Top the dough evenly with the ham, then half of the cheese. Sprinkle with the Spicy Pizza Topping.
Roll up the dough starting at the long side with the sauce. Gently pinch the seams together to seal. Cut
the roll of dough crosswise into slices.
Place the pizza rolls, cut sides up, in a single layer in a shallow baking dish; sprinkle with the remaining
cheese.
Bake the rolls 20 to 25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are lightly browned.
