Here Here Market gratefully acknowledges the ongoing innovative contributions Black business owners make in the food and beverage industry. In acknowledgement of their creativity and the generosity they share, we’re highlighting some of the spectacular Black-owned businesses in and around Chicago.
We’d love to make regular updates to this guide! If there’s a restaurant or culinary creator you know who should be on this list, message us on Instagram or send us an email. Resources such as Black Chicago Eats, Black People Eats, Seasoned And Blessed, and Chicago Black Restaurant Week have been gathering Black-owned restaurant information for years and deserve our gratitude and (financial) support.
This week, this month, and every month, we should all consider donating to organizations supporting racial equity - such as the ACLU, NAACP, Southern Poverty Law Center, Black Visions Collective, My Block, My Hood, My City, and Brave Space Alliance.
