Yolélé is an impact-driven African foods company founded in 2017 by Chef Pierre Thiam. His purpose is to create economic opportunity for smallholder farming communities; to support biodiverse, regenerative, and climate-resilient farming systems; and to share Africa’s ingredients and flavors with the world.
Pierre Thiam is a Senegalese chef, restaurateur, award-winning cookbook author, entrepreneur, and environmental activist – best known for bringing West African cuisine to the global culinary stage. He is the executive chef and co-founder of Teranga restaurants with locations Harlem & Midtown Manhattan and also the Executive Chef of the award-winning restaurant Nok by Alara in Lagos, Nigeria.
